The Big Timber XC Challenge is Back!

Update: Course Preview Video Now Available! Due to safety precautions being taken, we’re not able to have a course preview this year, so we’ve brought you the next best thing. Click below to watch our race director Brent Runzel’s all new course preview video:

Beginning in 2018 with the Windmill Challenge, and continuing with 2019’s Hansen Woods Relay as well as the original BTC, Dick Pond Athletics and partners have been setting the bar high for trail style races. 2020 has been an unusual year, but we felt it was time to bring back some normalcy with a good old fashioned trail race, (responsibly and safely of course). We can all use a good run through a creek, right?

Announcing the 2020 Big Timber XC Challenge. Taking place November 1st in Big Timber Woods in Elgin, the course features socially distanced 3 and 5 mile options. Sponsored by Saucony. All proceeds to benefit Boys and Girls Clubs of Elgin and the Three Fires Council of Boy Scouts of America.

All precautions are being taken to ensure a safe environment including mask requirement, no post run awards, no age groups, no post-run pancake breakfast, wide cross-country style starts, and a wide finish area instead of a narrow chute.

Our goal is simple – we want to get everyone out for a run through the woods safely, then leave. Registration is extremely limited, and not available on race day at all. So sign up soon!

We hope you’ll join us.
